windsoriteDOTca will be providing weekly beach reports every Friday, all summer long. We will let you know which beaches are safe for swimming, and those that are not.
Water samples testing for E.coli bacteria are taken every Wednesday. The samples are sent to a public health lab in London. Testing is done Thursday and the results are given to the Health Unit by Friday.
Based on samples taken Wednesday, August 26th, 2015:
Swimming is not recommended at Hillman Marsh Beach, Sandpoint Beach or West Belle River Beach.
All other beaches are safe.
