The Salvation Army is getting a lot of help from one local car dealership.

“We are incredibly excited to be a part of Windsor Chrysler’s ‘Drive for Windsor’ campaign to support our initiatives in the community,” says Salvation Army Major Kelly Rideout.

Windsor’s Salvation Army provides a food bank, a shelter for men who are homeless, an addictions rehabilitation program, a shelter for those struggling with mental challenges and many more community services.

Windsor Chrysler’s “Drive For Windsor” campaign will be held throughout month of August, and any new car sale during this month will generate a donation for the Windsor Salvation Army.

“This means every new car sold in August will have a positive impact in our community,” says the dealership’s general manager Mike Hogue.

The Salvation Army’s Perron Goodyear says the organization has provided 150 years of outstanding nonprofit community service around the globe; and the Windsor Centre has offered many services to the public for years.

“Take care of your family and take care of your community with your new car purchase by purchasing at Windsor Chrysler this August,” he said.
