Taxicab fares are set to go up in the City of Windsor.
The drop rate will jump 8% from $3.50 to $3.80.
It will also cost $0.10 for every 64 meters traveled, a change from $0.10 for 69 meters.
The increase was approved by the City of Windsor Licencing Commission in June and approved by City Council Monday evening.
Last time the meter rates went up was in 2008.
