Could public transportation be coming to the Town of LaSalle?

Town administrators are looking to retaining the services of a qualified consulting firm to undertake a transit feasibility study.

The study would first review the need and demand for transit in the town and the need to connect to Windsor.  It will also study the option of a stand alone town system or a transit system provided by Transit Windsor.  It would also look at the option of extending it to the Town of Amherstburg.

The study would then be presented to Town Council who would then have the option to move to phase two.  This includes preparing a business case including routes and connecting to Windsor and Amherstburg.  It will also look for a marketing campaign to make the new service successful.
