Texas Road in Amherstburg is about to get a fresh look.
Town council has approved issuing a tender for the reconstruction project that includes a new road surface and new sanitary connections to the property line, the construction of 1.2m paved shoulders on each side for bike traffic and a 3m wide multi-use trail.
The tender will also look for a price to install new storm sewers and fill in the deep ditch on the south side.
It will also include the installation of new LED streetlights.
The tender is expected to be issue mid June and will close the end of the month, with a recommendation report going to council for approval on July 13th.
Construction will get under way in August.
