Environment Canada says that a very moist airmass will affect portions of Southern Ontario today.

Showers and a few thunderstorms are occurring over Southwestern Ontario this morning and are expected to become more widespread this afternoon.

Rainfall amounts of 30 to 40 mm are likely locally, with amounts in excess of 50 mm possible for regions that receive several thunderstorms.

This activity is expected to diminish this evening.
