Old Bomb Found In Amherstburg

A war time era bomb was found in the Amherstburg Legion Wednesday afternoon.

Police said that they were unsure if it was active and as a precaution the legion was evacuated and Dalhousie Street between Richmond Street and Gore Street was closed while they investigated.

About an hour later Police said that it was an aircraft modular practice bomb and that it was found deactivated. It was removed from the Legion.
