An open house and workshop is planned for this week as part of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment that the city has been carrying out in the “central box” area.
The central box area is generally bound by Eugenie Street to the north, Howard Avenue to the eat, West Grand/South Cameron Boulevard to the south and Dominion Boulevard to the west.
The purpose of the assessment is to recommend short and long-term transportation network improvements while considering established land uses, traffic operations over a 20 year period, pedestrian and bikeway connections and consider related impacts to the existing infrastructure and utilities.
Two Public Information Centres and two Community Workshops will be hosted to present and discuss the need and justification for improvements, existing study area conditions, and assessment of alternative solutions and design concepts produced to date.
The first Public Information Center will take place on Wednesday, May 6th at the Columbus Centre of South Windsor from 4pm to 8pm.
The first workshop will take place on Thursday May 7th at the same place with workshops scheduled at 9am, 10am and 11am. You are required to register. More information can be found at the link here.
