Le Chocolat, a local spring 10k/5k/half marathon has created the ultimate chocolaty inspired Finisher’s Medal for this years race.

“Who does not love those sweet treats that melt in your mouth and not in your hands?” says Race Director Chris Uszynski. “Every year we push the envelop in design and this year is a gorgeous medal.”

Medals are only given to finishers in each race.

In addition to the new 10k Age-Group National Championship Race, Le Chocolat features a half marathon, 10k walk, and a 5k walk/run through the picturesque neighbourhood of Walkerville alongside Detroit River. The event supports Sparky’s Toy Drive through donations.

Le Chocolat is the only run in the world that gives participants over 19-years of age a 3L box of wine (The Pelee Purse shaped like a purse), Le Chocolat is the largest chocolate event in the country and the largest run in Ontario this side of the Mississauga Marathon this spring.

Registration and race information can be found on their website here.
