TD Canada Trust Supports United Way

TD Canada Trust has presented $28,566 to United Way/Centraide Windsor-Essex County.

“At TD Bank Group, we’re proud of the United Way Windsor-Essex County and the difference they make every day in our community”, said TD District Vice President Eric Griggs. “In addition to our corporate donation, TD employees pulled together to give their time and effort for fundraising and personal donations to help bring TD’s total donation this year to just over $51,000,” he added.

In addition to their corporate and employee contribution to United Way, TD Canada Trust employees also participated in a United Way Day of Caring earlier this year by icing over 1,000 cupcakes to support an event on Family Day, were nominated for United Way’s Innovation Award, and climbed over 1,000 steps in support of United Way-funded counselling programs at the 2015 iClimb for United Way.

“We are so grateful for the corporate and employee giving support from our friends at TD Canada Trust,” said Lorraine Goddard, CEO, United Way. “They’re an enthusiastic and loyal team, and because of their efforts, United Way will be able to continue to support tens of thousands of people right here at home,” she added.
