Windsor’s first Hindu Temple is being built in East Windsor.
The temple will be built with an accompanying cultural centre on four acres of land on Enterprise Way. The total square footage for the construction area is approximately 13,000 square feet. That will include the temple, reception area and cultural centre.
Construction for the new site is set to start on April 21st.
President of the Windsor Hindu Temple, Siyaram Pandey, says the centre belongs to Windsor and the community altogether. He said everyone is welcome to utilize the cultural centre.
The new temple will be the only place of worship for Hinduism within the city and surrounding areas. It’s expected to open its doors by November of this year.
