PHOTOS: Firefighters Rescue Swan Stuck To Ice

Windsor firefighters rescued a swan whose body became frozen to ice at Lakeview Park Marina, Friday afternoon.

The fire department used an aerial truck to extend firefighters over the ice, warm water to help free the swan, and an extending net to help lodge it loose.

After about 30 minutes firefighters freed the swan, which promptly scurried away and was unable to be captured due to unsafe ice conditions.
