Habitat for Humanity Windsor-Essex will be dedicating its winter build project on Saturday.
The new home located at 110 Victoria in the town of Cottam will be dedicated to the Belleau Family. The family’s new home is the 58th Habitat home built in Windsor-Essex and the very first in Kingsville since the organization affiliated in Windsor 21 years ago.
“This build has been a busy, exciting and for this family” says Mary Margaret Parent, Board Chair, HFHWE. “A new home is exciting for any family, but when a home is built with outpouring of support that Habitat receives from our community – it makes it that much more special, as it is now a home built with love” Parent adds. With the help of the Municipality of Kingsville, The local faith community, teams and volunteers, this project is now drawing to a close. “Saturday will be a very happy day for the Belleau Family.”
The Belleau family Glen, Karen and their son Benjamin are eager to move into their new, accessible home, as soon as their interest-free mortgage is finalized, and they close on the deal within the next couple of weeks month. “We are pleased to get the Belleau Family into their new home” states Mike Van der Vlist, Executive Director, HFHWE. “We can’t wait to get this family into their new accessible home that has been designed to allow Glen to be independent at home and to be starting their new life in their beautiful, safe new neighbourhood.”
The Dedication ceremony takes place at 11am, will include messages of support and appreciation from sponsors as well as a key ceremony.
