The City of Windsor has a new city engineer.
Mark Winterton will take over on March 2nd as City Engineer and the Corporate Leader-Environmental Protection and Infrastructure Services.
Since 2014, Winterton has served in the role of Executive Director of Operations. Prior to 2014 he spent 2004 to 2013 as the Manager of Contracts in the Operations Division of the city. From 1991 to 2004, he held a variety of engineering roles with the City and was also the Executive Initiatives Coordinator to the General Manager of Public Works.
He holds Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Applied Science degrees from the University of Windsor. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Ontario, a member of the Municipal Engineers Association, International Right of Way Association and the American Public Works Association.
Mark replaces retiring City Engineer Mario Sonego.
