Unconquered Sun Solar Technologies Inc. has been sold to Sarnia based Bluewater Power Corporation.
This acquisition marks the first time a renewable energy company has been acquired by a public utility in the Province of Ontario.
“This merger underpins Unconquered Sun’s longevity for years to come. This validates the engineering acumen here in Windsor/ Essex, the course we’ve charted and the ceaseless effort towards innovation that is at the heart of our company” said Sean Moore, Founder of Unconquered Sun.
Moore will stay on with Unconquered Sun as the Director of Operations.
The move has already resulted in the creation of five new full-time positions at Unconquered Sun and the company expects to hire another five to ten additional employees by April 2015.
The Unconquered Sun Solar Facility is located at 11600 County Road 42.
