A local weight loss professional is hosting a fundraiser workout called Sweat 4 Heart Health to support The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
Organizer Sean Keats, who’s mother suffered a stroke in 2013 says, “I’m really excited to help support such a great cause. I feel fortunate to running a successful business in today’s economy. With that, I’d like to be able to give back. Training with Sean will be doing a variety of fundraisers throughout the year and I’m always interested in finding new partners. I chose to start with The Heart and Stroke Foundation because the topic of heart health holds a special place in my own heart. I lost my mother, Pamela, in 2013 after she suffered a stroke and later succumb to cancer; it was extremely difficult to watch her go through this time in her life. In honour of her, I’ve decided to become a regular supporter of Heart and Stroke.”
The workout takes place on Saturday, January 31st at 5pm at the Riverside Baseball Centre, located at 6865 Ontario Street. Keats will be donating $5 for every person who attends in hopes to empower more people to take their health seriously.
