There is new parking restrictions around Essex District High School aimed at making improve vehicle and pedestrian safety.

Parking is now prohibited on the north side of Maidstone Avenue West from Talbot Street North to the entrance of the Essex Recreation Complex and Essex District High School and on the south side from Bell Avenue westerly for about 65 metres.

“Reconstruction of the high school and modifications to the entrance and exit to the parking facilities has resulted in parking on the shoulder of the road. This by-law is intended to reduce the congestion and improve visibility in that area” said Chris Nepszy, Director of Infrastructure and Development.
