The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit has issued an Extreme Cold Weather Alert for Windsor and Essex County that will be in effect until the afternoon of Thursday, January 15th, 2015.
The alert is issued based on the Environment Canada forecast, where temperatures are predicted to dip to -27°C with the wind chill overnight Wednesday into Thursday morning.
A warm up by the weekend is expected with a high of 3°C on Saturday and 1°C on Sunday.
