Environment Canada warms that we will see the coldest temperatures of the season this week.

They say that a frigid arctic airmass will arrive Sunday night plunging Southern Ontario into a deep freeze for the upcoming work week.

Sunday night into Monday morning will see a low of -12°C. Mondays high will not get higher then -11°C.

The rest of the week will see highs between -7°C and -11°C. Overnight lows will range between -12°C to -15°C.

Extreme cold warnings will likely be required at times during the week due to the combination of cold temperatures and brisk winds.

Significant snow squalls will affect areas to the Lee of the Great Lakes at times. Meanwhile, remaining regions will see varying amounts of sun, cloud, and flurry activity.
