The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit has issued a Cold Weather Alert for Windsor-Essex County that will be in effect until Friday, January 9th, 2015.
Based on the Environment Canada forecast, temperatures are predicted to dip to -16°C (3°F) overnight Wednesday into Thursday morning. The overnight temperature forecast for Thursday evening into Friday morning is predicted to be -29°C (-20°F) with the wind chill.
If the temperature dips below -27°C, the alert will become an extreme cold weather alert.
