WouldURather… is a six-week contest hosted by Leave The Pack Behind, that is designed specifically for young adults.

The contest is proven to increase the odds of becoming smoke-free, and it is open to all Ontario residents between the ages of 18 and 29 and all students registered at a publicly funded post-secondary institution who want to quit, reduce their smoking, or stay smoke free.

In WouldURather… there are four categories to choose from, as they recognize that not everyone is ready to quit right now:

  • Quit For Good: Regular smokers pledge to quit smoking and remain smoke-free
  • Keep The Count: Regular smokers pledge to reduce their smoking by 50%
  • Party Without The Smoke: Regular or social smokers pledge to refrain from smoking when drinking alcohol
  • Don’t Start & Win: Non-smokers or ex-smokers pledge to continue to be smoke-free

All contestants must register with a “buddy” and will receive motivational emails from Leave The Pack Behind throughout the six-week contest period. Contestants can also receive eight weeks of free nicotine patches or gum, to help them quit.

Contest registration is now open until January 25th, 2015 and the contest will run from January 26th, 2015 to March 9th, 2015.

Visit their website for contest information or to register.
