Problem Gambling Services is moving to a new location.
Since 1994 the program has been providing Outpatient Treatment Programs designed to help individuals who are experiencing gambling problems as well as those family members and friends who are being affected by problem gambling from a building located on Ottawa Street.
In 2005 a six bed Residential Treatment Program was also introduced at this location.
Now, in an effort to address operational issues including the accessibility requirements pursuant to the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2007 Hôtel-Dieu Grace Healthcare has decided to move into interim accommodations at Hôtel-Dieu Grace Healthcare on Prince Road. More permanent accommodations at the campus are currently under design.
Joe Karb is the Director of Mental Health & Addictions Programs at Hôtel-Dieu Grace and he stated that, “We are very much looking forward to transferring all of our Problem Gambling Services to our main campus which will allow us to address operational and accessibility issues for our employees and patients respectively. This brings us one step closer to having the programs into newly refurbished and permanent
The move will take place Wednesday, December 17th through to Friday, December 19th, 2014. The hours of operation will be Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm with extended hours until 8pm on Tuesday and Wednesday.
