A firefighter in Kingsville surprised his girlfriend with a hot hot marriage proposal after she thought her apartment building was on fire.

The bells started ringing in Lyndi Meloche’s apartment building after firefighter, and boyfriend Corey Vultaggio had his fire chief pull the alarm so he could race to the scene in a fire engine and rescue her with a ring.

Vultaggio called his girlfriend while on his way in the fire engine and told her to leave the building and to get somewhere safe because an electrician said there was a fire in the basement.

Meloche got out of the building and waited for the fire department to arrive.

When fire crews arrived and jumped out of their fire engine, Meloche saw Vultaggio head toward the building. But instead of bringing hoses, firefighters rushed to stand around Meloche while Vultaggio got down on one knee.

She said yes, but not before asking if there was a real fire.

“No it’s fake,” Vultaggio told his now-fiance. But the diamond wasn’t.

The video was shot by Remy Cloutier and Will Caturay from Presidential Productions with cooperation from the Town of Kingsville and the Kingsville Fire department.
