Workforce WindsorEssex released Driving the Windsor-Essex Automotive Industry Into the Future on Wednesday. The year-long research project examines the local auto industry and the growth opportunities anticipated in the future.
Officials say the project showcases emerging technical occupations in the automotive sector and those which are becoming more prominent based on new legislation and improvements by automakers as they adopt new technologies and processes.
The group conducted interviews and consultations with industry stakeholders to understand the changing demands in the auto industry and the what skills workers looking to start a career in automotive should have.
The group created an infographic about Windsor’s auto sector and a video to highlight the project findings.
