Heavy winds may produce damaging winds that could affect the North shore of Essex County.

The Essex Region Conservation Authority says that due to forecasted sustained southwest winds of 35 to 45 kph gusting to 70 to 80 kph, over the next 36 hours, there is a possibility of shoreline erosion, nearshore deepening and damaging waves within the region affecting Point Pelee Drive and Robson Road in the Municipality of Leamington and the south and west shores of Pelee Island.

ERCA says there is a 25% probability of wind gusts up to 90 kph, which may cause wave overtopping and spray, however they say due to climatic conditions being above the freezing point, there should be no issue with icing.
