A fire in south Windsor is being ruled an arson by Windsor Fire and Rescue.
Firefighters were called to the home at 4183 Spago in South Windsor around 2am and upon arrival found flames shooting from the home.
It took crews about half an hour to bring it under control.
The family was inside when the fire broke out. All 8 people escaped safely thanks to working smoke alarms, says Windsor Fire.
The investigation is ongoing and damage is set at $275,000 to the house and contents.
