After a few weeks of delays, work has started to transform Sunset Avenue on the campus of the University of Windsor.
Construction crews will first create a drop off area at the north end of Sunset off of University Avenue. The transformed road will include a two lane cul-de-sac with a drop-off area to the north on the east side to allow vehicles and pedestrians to safely access the area.
Construction workers will then work toward Wyandotte, transforming the road into a new cement path. Existing sidewalks on the east and west side of the street will be removed and replaced with green space and “pods” for seating areas and collaborative spaces.
