The Town of Leamington is asking municipal residents and property owners are asked to check their yards for a Christmas tree to donate this holiday season. The tree will be placed in front of the Leamington Municipal Building and lit during our annual tree lighting ceremony on Saturday, November 29th, 2014.
The ideal spruce tree must be at least 30 feet (9 metres) tall, fully symmetrical and must be accessible with no overhead wires present to interfere with the removal process. Eligible trees must be located in the Municipality of Leamington.
Once a tree is selected, municipal staff will remove the tree and stump, place topsoil, and seed (if required) at no cost to the owner.
Residents who wish to have their tree considered are requested to contact Ken Brown, Manager of Public Works at (519) 326-5761 ext. 1501, prior to Friday, October 31st.
