The annual march to end violence against women takes place this Saturday evening at Dieppe Park.

The Take Back The Night march will begin with a rally at 7pm and then will rally together and march the streets of Windsor to reclaim the streets, reclaim their voices, and reclaim the night.

Organisers say that there is sometimes a misconception that the Take Back the Night does not want men to get involved because they ask men not to march with the women.

Men are invited to take back the night by lining the marching route and light it up with the lanterns they have made as this year’s art project.

Following the march everyone will gather at the Foundry Pub located at 495 Ouellette Avenue, to hear from keynote speaker, Holly Painter, and local spoken word artists.
