The Ministry of Labour has issued orders against a workplace where an employee was killed on Friday.
“We’ve issued 3 orders to the company since the incident,” said Ministry spokesperson Bruce Skeaff.
A 55-year-old woman died Friday after an object fell on her at Canadian Electrocoating Limited on Prince Road.
The Ministry issued a stop work order and an order for the Paint Line area requiring “material, articles or things [be] moved with all safeguards and precautions so as not to endanger the safety of any worker.”
They say both orders were complied with on the same day of the incident.
The Ministry also ordered “that the forklift involved in the incident be inspected by a competent person.” That order is still in progress.
