Local business LucasWorks! has jumped in the ranking for Canada’s Top Female Entrepreneurs.
Ranking is done on a composite score based on the size, growth rate and profitability of their businesses, the list profiles the country’s most successful female business owners.
“While this is our 6th year being on the Profit W100 list, we jumped from last year’s position of 93 to being 27th in the whole country this year. To have six consecutive years of growth is energizing and exciting and it makes me so proud of the great team at LucasWorks! who continue to accomplish so much” says President, Maureen Lucas.
“This year’s W100 represent the absolute best of Canada’s business community,” said James Cowan, Editor-in-chief of Canadian Business and PROFIT. “Female entrepreneurs are too often stereotyped as ‘mompreneurs’ pursuing part-time hobby businesses. But the W100 demonstrate just how vital they are to driving innovation and growth in the Canadian economy.”
Growth has raised LucasWorks!’ profile throughout the province, which has allowed them to open a fourth location for temporary and contract staffing. In addition, they have also started a separate division – LUCAS Professional Search Group; to assist companies across Ontario to hire Executive and Professional level talent. LucasWorks! is growing with qualified recruitment partners in all four locations and it all stems from their headquarters in Windsor.
