Have Old Coats? Local Kids Really Need Your Help

The warm days of summer are slowly coming to an end and as cooler fall temperatures starts to settle in, we look to clean our closets out, getting rid of the fall and winter attire we no longer want or need.

If you happen to be getting rid of an old coat or two, there is a local organization that needs them.

The Unemployed Help Center’s 30th annual Coats for Kids drive is now underway. They will be collecting coats now until October 31st, with a goal of collecting 5000+ coats this year.

In addition to coats, the Unemployed Help Centre will gladly accept donations which they say are greatly appreciated. Donations are used to purchase additional coats for those sizes hard to fill.

Distribution to those in need starts November 8th.
