ERCA has issued a flood watch.
Due to predicted rainfall of 25 to 40 mm over the next 24 hours, they say a possibility of flooding exists along watercourses and in low lying areas for the entire Essex region. In addition, due to the potential for high intensity isolated thunderstorms, there is an enhanced possibility of flooding and drainage problems throughout the entire region, especially in urban areas, in the specific locations affected by these potential downpours, according to ERCA.
Precautions should be taken within areas that are currently within active summer construction zones, according to ERCA, to ensure that debris and sediment are not impacting on or will not impact on drainage facilities, catch basins, stand pipes, etc.
