Have you ever wanted to jump off the side of a building?
64 people did just that today at Caesars Windsor, but with the help of a rappelling cable and a harness, of course. And most took it slow.
Participants each raised $1500 or more to support Easter Seals and were allowed to plummet from the top of Caesars Windsor’s Augustus tower today as part of the Easter Seals Drop Zone event.
The second annual event challenged “Superheroes” to raise a minimum of $1500 in pledges to support families of kids with physical disabilities. Funds raised will go to provide financial assistance for expensive mobility equipment and communication devices and provide opportunities for kids to attend fully accessible Easter Seals summer camp.
Rappelling down the 27-storey building began early this morning and continued until 5pm. New participants took the plunge every 20 minutes.
The event was expected to raise tens of thousands of dollars.
