Water samples to test for E.coli are taken every Wednesday. The samples are sent to a public health lab in London. Testing is done Thursday and the results are given to the Health Unit by Friday.
Based on samples taken Wednesday, July 30th:
Swimming is not recommended at Sandpoint and West Belle River beaches.
All other beaches are safe.
