Summer Games Opening Ceremonies Are Free To Attend

The Ontario Summer Games kick off this Thursday with opening ceremonies at the University of Windsor’s Alumni Field stadium.

The ceremonies will welcome over 2,000 athletes to the city and will feature The Walkervilles, Danielle Wade, The Greater Windsor Concert Band, Sky Society Aerial Acrobats, The Stilt Guys, Corey Mariuz & Pure Dance Academy, Kenneth Macleoud & Young Fiddlers of Windsor and HNM Dance Co.

Gates open at 5pm, with a pre-show at 5:30 and the ceremonies get going to 7pm.

The ceremonies are free to the public with bleacher seating on a first-come first serve basis. You can also sit outdoors on the stadium grass hills.

Alumni Field is located at the corner of Huron Church and College, and is next to the St. Denis Centre.
