There is plenty to do this last long weekend of summer at Point Pelee Nation Park in Leamington.
Another Dark Sky Night event happened this Saturday evening, with the park staying open until midnight.
Observe the crescent moon setting with Mars and Saturn and enjoy the dark sky along with members of the Royal Astronomical Society. The park is designated as a Dark Sky Preserve by the Windsor Centre of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada. For the best star gazing encounters, they do recommend that you come equipped with binoculars or a telescope.
The night starts at 7:45pm at the west beach.
Then on Sunday at the visitors Centre, join Wild Ontario and see live birds of prey from 2pm to 4pm.
