The Essex Region Conservation Authority has issued a warning Tuesday, that due to the existing wet ground conditions, predicted rainfall of 15 to 25mm today and the unusual slow moving weather patterns, a possibility of flooding exists along watercourses and in low lying areas for the entire Essex region.
They say in addition, due to the potential for high intensity isolated thunderstorms, there is an enhanced possibility of flooding and drainage problems throughout the entire region in the specific areas affected by these potential downpours.
Precautions should be taken within areas that are currently within active summer construction zones to ensure that debris and sediment are not impacting on or will not impact on drainage facilities, catch basins, stand pipes, etc.
