University of Windsor professors took to the streets this morning to get their message out to the community that they want to return to the bargaining table.
The Windsor University Faculty Association held the silent protest along Wyandotte from California to Patricia starting at 8:20am.
Union officials say they want to put pressure on administration to get back to the bargaining table.
Last Thursday, members voted 81.4% to take strike action if needed. The union says that the “strike vote also enables WUFA to entertain a variety of responses to the employer — picketing of campus construction sites, work-to-rule, a work slowdown, withdrawal of selected duties — short of an all-out withdrawal of labour.”
