Apartment Fire Causes Over A Million Dollars In Damage

An early morning fire Saturday at an apartment building located at 76 Tecumseh Road East has caused an estimated $1.2 million dollars in damage to the structure, as well as $300,000 to the contents of the building.
Fire investigators say that their investigation is ongoing, but it is believed to have started in a bedroom of a fifth floor apartment.
19 people remains without a place to live.
The fire started around 2:50am Saturday, and Windsor firefighters rescued two people in a daring balcony rescue.
At that time fire officials said that three floors have smoke damage, five floors have water damage and eight apartment units have been damaged.
