Around 100 people gathered at Dieppe Park on Windsor’s Riverfront to watch Team Windsor compete against Detroit in the annual Tug Across The River.
The yearly competition, where volunteers pull in a long rope stretched to the middle of the river, was over after four minutes and Windsor lost by only three seconds.
Team Detroit beat Team Windsor with a time of 4 minutes and 3 seconds to a time of four minutes and six seconds.
Team Detroit is leading against Team Windsor after twenty-eight years of the event: the Americans have won 15 times and the Canadians have won 13 times.
