Hundreds of runners enjoyed an early morning KISS concert on Windsor’s riverfront after completing the Rock Me Anaphylaxis run.
“I designed this run to take a very serious topic like severe allergies and make it a front and centre issue and raise awareness to educate the general public of how dangerous this can be for kids and adults,” said creator and race director Chris Uszynski. “No other run can rock you through the ages.”
The 5K course emphasized rock music, featured a number of musicians along the way, and ran up and down the riverfront trail.
It ended back at the festival plaza at the Fork & Cork Festival where tribute band KISS Destroyer took the stage.
All participants received a rock inspired shirt and all finishers got a guitar pic shaped finishers’ medal.
Pledges benefited the Windsor Allergy Asthma Education Centre.
