Hello time traveller!!

The information listed below is likely outdated and has been preserved for archival purposes.

With the summer swimming season kicking into high gear, windsoriteDOTca will once again be providing weekly beach reports every Friday all summer long.

We will let you know which beaches are safe for swimming, and those that are not.

Water samples to test for E.coli are taken every Wednesday. The samples are sent to a public health lab in London. Testing is done Thursday and the results are given to the Health Unit by Friday.

Based on samples taken Wednesday, July 9th:

Holiday Beach is officially closed due to high E.coli levels.

Due to possible health risks, swimming is not recommended at Colchester Beach, Lakeside Beach, Northwest Beach and Sandpoint Beach.

All other beaches are safe.
