Windsor fire crews were called to a duplex fire in the 3700 block of Riberdy Road just after 6pm Friday night.
Crews found fire on the exterior of a home and worked to extinguish the fire before it spread into the interior.
The fire was knocked down in about 20 minutes.
Official say that it started on the rear deck and extended up the exterior wall. The definitive cause could not be determined.
Damage is set at $40,000.
