While summer has not even official started, the City of Windsor Human Resources Department is already thinking winter and are accepting applications for the 2014 Arena Skate Patrol Student Lottery Program.
The Arena Skate Patrol monitors behaviour of public skaters on and off the ice at various municipal arenas to ensure the health and safety of others through the enforcement of the Public Skating Safety Rules/Regulations.
This employment program will provide eligible secondary and post-secondary students with the opportunity to gain valuable work experience and earn income which will allow them to manage finances and/or contribute to the cost of their education.
The city says that to ensure that hiring is fair and equitable, the selection of students to be considered is based on a secured computer program that randomly draws applications for order of consideration.
Applications can be found here and must be completed and submitted only online by no later than 4:30pm on Friday, June 13, 2014.
