The award recognizes the College for its achievement in Swimming and Water Safety programs across the country for 2013.
Jeff McEwan, Manager, Aquatics & Recreational Facilities was thrilled to receive this award on behalf of all of the Aquatics staff. “We trained over 3,800 students last year which is a huge achievement in the community,” says McEwan. “The importance of water safety for all ages cannot be overstated since these classes spanned the youngest student at just four months old up to our seniors in the community.”
Nationwide, last year, the Canadian Red Cross saw over 1.2 million people participated in this program.
