Police Seize Possible Hit And Run Vehicle

Windsor Police have seized a vehicle allegedly involved in a hit and run over the weekend.

A 47-year-old woman was struck by a grey car just after 2am on Saturday in the area of Wyandotte and Moy.

On Tuesday, police seized a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix in the 900 block of Pierre Avenue. Police say the vehicle had fresh damage on the passenger side. The vehicle is being held at Police Headquarters for forensic examination.

Police say the owner of the vehicle was contacted by police however she is not being cooperative.

The 47-year-old victim was taken to hospital following the incident and remains in intensive care.

Police are asking anyone with information regarding the driver of the vehicle call the Windsor Police Traffic Branch at 519-255-6700 ex. 4212
