Plans for a new Windsor city hall are nearing finalization.
City administrators are recommending that council approve a multi-story parking garage near the new city hall at a cost of $7.2 million.
The recommendation comes after administrators identified other parking options including surface lots and underground parking.
The city suggests using the surface area freed up by a vertical parking structure to construct a “Civic Square Campus” which would include the closure of the road between the two current city hall buildings.
A report with details on the plan goes to city council for approval on Monday.
