University of Windsor chief communications officer Holly Ward has resigned and is headed to the private sector.
Ward took the job at the University in 2010 after eleven years as director of communications at Caesars Windsor.
“I want to thank Holly for her exceptional efforts to advance the University of Windsor’s marketing, communications, and public outreach,” said UWindsor president Alan Wildeman. “She will be greatly missed, and I wish her the very best as she takes a bold new step in her career.”
During her time at the University, Ward expanded recruitment marketing efforts, launched a new logo and branding for the post secondary institution and liaised with the media to draw attention to the research, teaching, and service achievements of faculty, students and staff.
Ward announced her resignation Wednesday and and is launching her own public relations consultancy business, HWard Communications. Her last day at UWindsor will be June 27th.
“I’m looking forward to pursuing a new entrepreneurial opportunity and offering my expertise to organizations of all sizes to help them develop and execute creative public relations solutions,” Ward said.
