Windsor Teens Win Big At Los Angeles Science Fair

Two Windsor teens won big at the International Science Fair held this past week in Los Angeles.
Alexander Deans, 17, from Academie St. Cecile, won both a special award and a grand award for his project, in which he created a novel device to help the visually impaired navigate.
The Special Award means that he will receive a full tuition scholarship to West Virginia University
Meagan Fabel, 18, from Walkerville Collegiate Insitute, won both a special award and a grand award as well for her project, in which she used algae to increase the efficiency of Gratzel solar cells.
The two were part of a team of 12 that represented Canada.
